The Indian startup #Epigamia has launched India‘s first plant-based yogurt made with coconuts.

Yes, you guessed it right #VeganYougurt !!!

#Veganfood,#Meatlessburgers, Alternate Dairy products are not concepts now.

Indian Players are seeing this trend as an opportunity and lots of news on reducing the Carbon Footprints as well as the Environment are going to be the new trend just like Immunity nowadays.

Epigamia cites the growing demand for healthy, plant-based and sustainable food options are the drivers for their launch.

“Launching plant-based products is a big leap in Epigamia’s strive in enabling sustainable livelihood and a cleaner environment for all.

It’s not just the yogurts that are more sustainable than conventional dairy products — the packaging is too.

They have collaborated with waste management company#Recykal, to recover and recycle more plastic packaging than it uses for its products.

Epigamia’s new vegan-friendly yogurt will come in two flavours – unsweetened and coconut jaggery – and marks the first 100% plant-based products launched by the Indian greek yogurt brand.

Both are made using coconut milk, contain zero preservatives and are now for sale for Rs70 (US$0.92) per pack through its own direct-to-consumer online shop, delivering to Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Chennai and Hyderabad.

“We spent months at the Epigamia kitchen to come out with India’s first plant-based coconut milk yogurt,” said co-founder and CEO of Epigamia Rohan Mirchandani.

Now Indian company are also thinking about carbon footprints. Isn't it amazing !!!

Are they utilising the opportunity or have they foreseen the future of more environmental friendly concepts.
